We encourage parents to contribute to our school by assisting with special projects and sharing their time and talents. Whether it is your professional expertise as a doctor or architect or chef or an interest or hobby of yours, such as playing an instrument, painting, or dance, children love having their parents come to school to spend time in their classroom.
Parent-teacher conferences are scheduled at least once each school year during progress reporting periods. These are held to discuss the development and well-being of your child. They are brief meetings, lasting about 15 to 20 minutes. During this time we will listen to and answer your questions as well as provide information ie how your child is doing in school, what your child is learning at school, your child’s favorite activities and friends and to find out how to support your child’s learning at home. Additional appointments can be made with the director and teachers at any time during the school year to discuss any issues or concerns.
Letting each other know important information about your child and family is essential to us providing the best possible care for your child. We encourage you to share your insights, questions, and goals regarding your child’s development with us. Please bring to our attention anything that may be affecting your child at home or in school so that we can understand and address the circumstances. Since drop-off and pick-up times are brief and busy times for children, parents and teachers alike, we encourage you to set up a personal conference time with us should you want to discuss something in depth when we would be able to give you undivided attention. The information you choose to share with us about your family is kept confidential.
